During the school leavers’ assembly, at the end of the year, the Charge that reminds all school leavers of the great benefits received while at the Centre and hence what society will expect of them outside the Centre is delivered by the Director. The Charge states: “I charge you, never to forget the great benefits you have received in this place, and in time to come, according to your own means, to do all that you can to enable others to enjoy the same advantage, and remember that you carry with you, wherever you go, the good name of Starehe Girls’ Centre”.
To sum it up, the Starehe Way is the art of doing the right thing at the right time at the right place and at all times. This means that all students who are nurtured in this Way are expected to be at their best at all times in and out of school. “The Magnificent Starehe Way” teaches that life is all about making a difference.
